WHEN HER HUSBAND is away on business trips, it's up to German-born Mrs. Edward Selden, 1021 Valencia Ave., to water his 200 orchids. That Mrs. Selden's little boy, Steve, 2 1/2, at her side. The Seldens are two of the many Gables who pride themselves on their beautiful gardens and collections of flowers, such as orchids.
Name Is Now McCrory's
The name on one of Miracle Mile's larger stores changed last week but everything else stays the same. Workmen spent a couple days on scaffolding at H. L. Green Co., 65 Miracle Mile, taking down the big, block letters of green color. Up went the bright red name of McCrory. The latter firm bought out Green some months ago. Both are variety stores. C. E. Johns will continue as manager here. This was the only Green store in the Miami area and McCrory already had three operating under its name.

VALUE OF THE DANCE
A beginning student was once told by his instructor at the House of Montell — "you cannot put a price on dancing". This may have been a little thought provoking to the student at the time, but as he progressed more and more to a finished ballroom dancer the meaning became crystal clear to him. How can value be put on such intangibles as poise, self confidence, social grace and dexterity of the dance? Only the students and graduates of the House of Montell know the individual value of these acquisitions. After the student has been analyzed by his assigned dance instructor as to ability & achievement, a course of dance is recommended. If the student has noticeable talent, he is taken under wing and given a professional course that, upon completion, qualifies him to be an instructor at the House of Montell. This accomplishment comes only after many hours of concentration and work in a program, that, in addition to the rhythmical school of dance, requires extra curricular studies in social etiquette. When the House of Montell instructor finally gets the seal of approval from Mr. Robert Montell he is considered truly a master of the dance. Now the talented student is an instructor. He is qualified to greet, teach and converse with the elite clientele that has solidified the House of Montell in the minds of many a graceful dancer as the school of dance where value becomes more than figures and dollar marks. Come to the House of Montell and meet the twelve instructors and see for yourself the high caliber of young men and women who have become dedicated to bringing to so many the confidence and self assurance recognized in dancers who have been taught at the House of Montell.
