OLSON MADDLONE Rear Admiral (ret.) Louis B. Olson joined Frank Kerdyk Inc. as a salesman. Admiral Olson retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1953 after 38 years' service. The Olsons live at 4825 Alhambra Cir. He holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Miami. ★ ★ ★ The City of Coral Gables' TV advertising campaign has won top honors for its creators, Bishopric, Green, Fielden Inc. in the Greater Miami Advertising Club annual awards. BGF won first place for the City in TV commercials "campaign as a whole" and also first for TV commercial over 30 seconds, again on the City's account. BGF president Karl Bishopric lives in the Gables at 740 Coronado Ave. ★ ★ ★ New assistant secretary of Gulf American Land Corp. is Joseph S. Maddlone. The 49-year-old Gableite has been with the firm since 1959 and has been a principal in organizational proceedings of several banks in the area. The Maddlones have three children and live at 2501 Cordova St. ★ ★ ★ The University of Miami's national aviation fraternity, Sigma Alpha Tau, had a fly-away to Piper Aircraft company at Vero Beach. The men attending are aviation management majors at the University. They included Milton Alderfer, Harry Pawlowski, George Lundrigan, Bill Bames, Cliff Anderson, Bill Hynes and Mike Tondu. ★ ★ ★ E. Melvin Distiller is in charge of the new Charg-It of Florida Inc. office opened recently at 61 Giralda Ave. Charg-It offers consumers a single credit card good in a number of establishments. The system began in Baltimore. Distiller is assistant secretary and general manager here. The firm is owned by the parent corporation in Baltimore.
3-Story Office Building On Old Times Site Sold
The new three-story office building on the old Coral Gables Times site across from the bus station has been sold for a reported $400,000. New owners are Gables Arcade Corp. headed by Leonard Keller from Miami Beach. The old owners were headed by O. Fidalgo, also of Miami Beach. Delio Cruz, leasing agent for the building and whose offices are on the ground floor, handled the transaction. He will continue as building agent. Most of the space in the 29,250 square foot structure remains to be leased. There are about a half dozen tenants already in the building. Work began last fall.

A teenage dance is being sponsored at the Coral Gables Youth Center Saturday night by the Coral Gables Optimist Club. Dance time will be from 8 to 11 p.m. Admission is free. Coat and tie are required.
