St. Mark's Plans Fete Sunday for 11th Year

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 414 Velarde, will celebrate its 11th anniversary Sunday with a covered dish dinner at noon for members and friends. Rev. Ralph R. Bergstresser, 1426 Garcia Ave., says that the actual anniversary is April 15 but that the 29th is the first open date. In the beginning, the less than 100 members met in the Coral Gables Youth Center. In 1954, the first part of their buildings were finished and the congregation moved. Today there are over 600 members and the church is planning a third and main building to be finished in the next few years.
