Dorothy Raynor, 115 Antiquera Ave., member of the Coral Gables Chapter, National Secretaries Association, will join her fellow members in observing Secretaries Week with luncheons and interviews, as she visits area clubs Monday through Sunday with the two highlights scheduled. These are the "Bosses" dinner Friday night at the Riviera Country Club and the tea Sunday at 3 p.m. at the home of Miss Farrell Stubs, 1438 Robbie Ave., when the new Secretary of the Year will be honored, to be named at the Friday dinner. * * * Robert J. Eckert, 1961 graduate of Coral Gables High School, has been cited by a mathematics professor at Dartmouth College, for outstanding academic achievement during the past term. Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Eckert Sr., 7445 SW 72nd Ave. * * * Mona Tei Fondren, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Courtney M. Fondren, 614 Altara Ave., is home for her Easter vacation arriving Sunday from Sophie Newcomb College, New Orleans. She has as her house guest, her roommate, Martha Bell of Houston. * * * Seven college students from Coral Gables were named to the dean's winter quarter list at Emory University, Atlanta, Ga. They are Randolph P. Martin, 1341 Blue Rd.; Joan S. Ward, 1220 Cordova St.; Michael L. Hawkins, 741 Tibidabo Ave. Kenneth L. Blasser, 430 Candia Ave; Ralph R. Eastridge, 3916 Harlano St.; Suzanne R. Davis, 915 Placetas Ave.; and Sandra Jean Davis, 3845 Alhambra Cir. * * * Sheryl Heller had the fun of being one of the ribbon clerks at the recent Howey Academy Sixth annual horse show. Sheryl is the daughter, of Dr. and Mrs. Glenn H. Heller, 665 N. Greenway Dr. * * * Ensign David E. Pettengill, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard W. Pettengill Sr., 2613 Cordova St., is attending Radar Intercept Operator School at Naval Air Technical Center, Brunswick, Ga. He entered the service in June, 1961. * * * Marine Pfc. David C. Sinclair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Sinclair, 911 Capri St., was graduated April 6 from the Aviation Electronics Technician School, Naval Air Training Center, Memphis, Tenn. * * * Mr. and Mrs. James Wright Crabtree of 2421 San Domingo St., have had word that their son, James Wright Crabtree Jr. made the Dean's List at the University of Florida. He had an A average. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. * * * Miss Margaret J. Gilkey, 919 Tendilo Ave., member of Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (known as DACOWITS), will leave for Washington Sunday. On Wednesday, the members will visit the Naval Training Center at Bainbridge, Md., where they will see the training and living conditions of women recruits in the Navy. * * * Miss Sonya-Riva Klein, 1248 Mariana Ave., will honor Miss Carol Barrocas, of Miami Beach and bride-elect of Richard C. Schulman, 241 Ponce de Leon Blvd., with a shower Saturday at the Westbrooke Country Club. * * * Zeta Tau Alpha alumnae from over the state will attend the annual ZTA state day to be held Saturday in the ZTA room in the Panhellenic Building UM campus. Luncheon will be held in Wesley Hall and Mrs. Lowell B. Selby, 1533 Cecelia Ave., is the guest speaker. * * * Mrs. John H. Hanger, wife of the pastor at the First Methodist Church of Coral Gables, will be the hostess at the parsonage, 2901 Granada Blvd., for the annual coffee, members of the Women's Christian Association of the church will give from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Malcolm McDonald, 3904 Durango St., is president of the association. * * * The public is invited to the Sunday 4 p.m. musicale at the Musicians Club of America, 303 Minorca. Artists will include Emil Maestre, cellist; David Maddern, pianist. Maestre, who grew up in Cuba studied in Barcelona, Spain, and has played with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. He is now on the faculty of the UM. Maddern, the young pianist, gave a concert at the Dade County Auditorium this winter. George Giese, son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Giese, 95 Morningside Dr., was one of 15 students at St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y. attending a seminar on state government in Albany with Gov. Nelson Rockefeller participating.

TEMPLE BALL

Temple Judea will stage its annual Matzoh Ball Sunday evening when the members and their friends gather at the Coral Gables Palermo Ave., Temple. The food for the party has been arranged and cooked by the members of the sisterhood.
