Thomas James Harts Wed In Little Flower Church

Church of the Little Flower was the scene of the Dec. 1 wedding of Sharon Elaine Dell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry J. Dell Sr., 1203 Pizarro St., to Thomas James Hart. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Joseph Hart, 6819 SW 48th Ter. After a honeymoon trip to Ft. Lauderdale, the couple will live at West Palm Beach, where the groom is employed by General Food Corporation. For her wedding, the bride wore a dress made by her mother of white satin covered with lace. Pearls were hand-sewn on the bodice and long sleeves. The back terminated in a slight train. A silk illusion veil fell from a pearl headpiece. Matron of honor was Mrs. Leonard G. Boymer, sister of the bride. She chose a gold satin, street-length dress with three-quarter length sleeves and fitted bodice. Bridesmaids, Margaret Hart and Mary Jean Didona, wore emerald green poie de soie dresses of the same design as the matron of honor. All three carried colonial bouquets of white carnations and roses. Best man was Joseph Jordan, Jacksonville. Ushers were Leonard G. Boymer and Frank Elseau. The bride, a graduate of Coral Gables High, is a former Miami Herald employee. The groom, is a graduate of the University of Illinois, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega. He also believes that there should be between 600 and 700 enrolled in the Sunday School, according to the church's present membership. Weekly receipts "should never fall under $2,000 to $2,500," the pastor said. "A tithe of our membership would run $3,000 to $4,000 per week." He expressed the hope that the church could always meet its financial obligations on time and consistently support her missions.
