For Friday evening services at Temple Zion, 8000 Miller Rd., Rabbi Norman N. Shapiro will speak on "How Personal Can Religion Become?" Sept. 10, at 8:15 p.m. Rabbi Shapiro will elaborate on the theme that religion, like any part of life, is enriched by sharing.
Temple Judea
Sabbath Eve services at Temple Judea, 5500 Granada Blvd., on Friday, Sept. 10, will be the first regular service of the season. Services will begin at 8:15 p.m. with Rabbi Michael B. Eisenstat officiating. Cantor Rita Shore will chant the liturgical music and the Temple's professional choir, under the director of Nick Shipskie, will also perform. Rabbi Eisenstat will consecrate 46 new families who have joined the Temple recently and the Temple Sisterhood and Brotherhood will serve as hosts to new members during a social hour following the worship service.
