Sorority Plans Reception On Sunday

Mrs. Jennie Grossinger, National Patroness of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, will be honored at a reception Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Mary B. Merritt Panhellenic Building on University of Miami campus. Guests will include Dr. and Mrs. J. F. W. Pearson, Dr. May Brunson, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Lipman, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer Baskin, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Goldman, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Kogan, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Weisel and alumnae of the sorority and their husbands, actives and their parents. Audrey Borok, member of the active chapter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Borok, of 11425 SW 81st Rd., has been elected president of the Student-National Education Association of the University. Other officers include Pennie Zinn and Joan Oastrow, vice presidents; Beverly Creeley and Margaret Jordan, secretaries and Ernest Stephenson, treasurer.

'Alice In Wonderland' Sets Theme For Fashion Show

"Alice in Wonderland" is the name of the fashion show the Women's Executive Board of the Country Club of Coral Gables will present Saturday at their annual party and noon luncheon at the club. Mrs. Thomas Stokes and Mrs. T. M. Holdcroft are co-chairmen of the show. Mrs. E. J. Hill is co-ordinator. Those Assisting Committee members assisting are Mrs. H. W. Cook, Mrs. Howard Peterson, Mrs. John Lipscomb, Mrs. Sidney Kass, Mrs. Harry Graham, Mrs. James Wadhams. The younger set models will be Tommy and John Stokes, Debbie Ropes, Jennie Hessen, Linda Garfield, Henry Langhorst, Kathy and Kenneth Coppedge, Linda Wadhams, Ecky and Freddie Faith, Sally Ann Stoddart, Laurie Foster and Susie Kass. Also Modeling Also modeling will be Mrs. Larry Ropes, Mrs. James Reece, Mrs. Howard Peterson, Mrs. Ernest Limmiatis, Mrs. I. H. Macy, Mrs. H. W. Cook Jr., Miss Marilou Hahn, Mrs. Robert Askew. Also, the Misses Donna and Carol Graham, Mrs. Paul Foster, Mrs. Lerrie Lipscomb, Mrs. Katherine Murphy and Mrs. Murphy's daughter-in-law, Mrs. Pat Murphy. Mrs. Clive Shrader, Mrs. Joseph Coppedge, Mrs. Elizabeth Larson, Mrs. Kenneth Madison, Miss Pamela Madison, Mrs. Robert Sullivan, Miss Georgia, Miss Sue Ellen Sullivan and Miss Cathy Firestone. Among the guests attending the luncheon will be members of the Coral Gables Chapter, National Secretaries Association (International), who will have as their guests wives of their bosses. The chapter holds its dinner meetings at the club.

Welcome Club Members Makes Luncheon Plans

Mrs. Ralph Hillier and Mrs. Wyatt Thompson, project chairmen for the South Miami Welcome Wagon Club, will discuss the club's benefit luncheon and fashion show to be held Wednesday at the King's Bay Yacht and Country Club. Members modeling are Mrs. Miles Chenault, Mrs. Robert Getzoff, Mrs. Wyatt Thompson, Mrs. A. Vance Morgan, Mrs. Robert Shinn, Mrs. C. G. Czebrinski, Mrs. B. J. Saymon, Mrs. William Harrison and Mrs. George B. Dermody. Proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibosis Foundation. The jewelry worn by Mrs. Maebelle Smith who plays the part of John Wilkes Booth's mother in "Fit For Treason" currently playing at Studio "M" Playhouse was worn by her great-grandmother attending a performance of "Our American Cousin" at the Ford Theater the night Lincoln was assassinated.
