IT WAS GOOD FRIDAY and these three young ladies, along with hundreds of our other neighbors, made a day of it at the beautiful Venetian Pool. The sun was out, a soft wind swayed the palms and, well, it was just a wonderful day for swimming as these girls hurrying to join their little friend indicate.

Local Girl Is Engaged

Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Cunningham will honor their daughter, Patricia, and her fiance, George Charles Nyman Jr., with an engagement dinner party Saturday at the Kings Bay Hacht and Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham came here nine years ago and lived in Coral Gables until recently, when they moved to 8360 SW 103rd St. The bride-elect is a graduate of Coral Gables High School and attended the University of Miami where she pledged Chi Omega Sorority. She is majoring in sociology. She and her parents are members of the Coral Gables Country Club. Her fiance is a graduate of Williamsville High School Buffalo, N.Y. where his parents, Mrs. George C. Nyman, and the late Mr. Nyman resided. He is a junior student at the University of Miami, and a marketing major.

Med Building

A new $151,549 medical building is planned at LeJeune Road and Rosario Avenue by the 4900 LeJeune Corp. Apparent low bidder on the building is Apgar and Markham Construction Co. Architect is Freeman Walker. No permit has been issued.

PERFECT ATTENDANCE

Robert K. Squier, 520 Alcazar Ave., has not missed a Rotary Club meeting in 23 years. This achievement has brought recognition from the Coral Gables Rotary which has awarded him an emblem.
