WINNERS IN THE annual Costume Golf Tourney of the Women's Golf Association, Coral Gables Country Club, are left to right (bottom row) Mesdames William Lewis, P. S. Cannell, Larry Larimore. Back row, left to right, are Mesdames Howard McLain, Zola Gray, E. W. Kaspar and John Finerty. (Another Picture, Page 1) The last Friday in April is always memorable for the local women's Golf associations. It is costume party day and at the Coral Gables Country Club Mrs. John Finerty won the most original, Mrs. E. W. Kasper was winner of the most beautiful, Mrs. Zala Gray and Mrs. Howard McClain won the best couple prize and Mrs. David Parrack, the funniest. Mrs. Phil Cannell, Mrs. R. L. Larimore and Mrs. William Lewis won as the group. The tournament was low gross in classes. Mrs. Belle Mathers was winner in Class A with a 44. Mrs. E. W. Kasper with a 45 tied with Mrs. Tony McCrackin, Mrs. William Vanderbilt and Mrs. J. B. MacMurray for second. Class B., Mrs. Bernard Neary was first, 48; Mrs. Edward Fleming and Mrs. Glenn Wood tied with 49; and in third place Mrs. Howard McClain won with 52. Mrs. Phil Cannel with a 48 won in Class C. Guest winners were Mrs. Bruce Butler with a 33; Mrs. Adele Halpern, 33 1/2 Mrs. Robert Holsaple, 34 1/2, all of the Biltmore Women's Golf Association.

New Faces At St. James

St. James Lutheran Church received some new families as members recently. They are Mr. and Mrs. Donald F. James and son, Robert; Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Jonson; Mr. and Mrs. George H. Loewen, son, Peter, and daughters, Lynn and Susan. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nedde and sons, Paul and Mark; Isabel M. McRae; Mrs. John O'Brien; Reet Rannik, sons, Jack and Victor, and daughter, Elna; Richard Roetz; Olga R. Rogness; James S. Ross; Olda Ross and son, James Ross Jr.; Bette Sewell; Rondald W. Snyder and daughter, Kelly; Paul C. White; Doris L. White and daughters, Debra and Robin; and Mary E. Woodberry.
