Coral Gables Property Listed For Auction OnFebruary 18
Three listings in the Coral Gables area—including a four-unit apartment, a store building and a choice lot with 100-foot frontage on S.W. 8th Street—were approved this week for sale at the Miami Real Estate Exchange's second auction, Feb. 18, starting at 9:30 a.m. S. D. Haynsworth, Exchange president, said the auction will again be held at the Everglades Hotel where more than 500 real estate buyers and sellers were on hand for the January event. On Ferdinand Haynsworth said the apartment building, of CBS construction with tile roof and wood oak floors, is located at 809 Ferdinand Avenue. The structure is situated on a 60x103.5' lot in an area zoned R-4. Three of the four units are furnished—all have refrigerators and stoves. There is ample parking front and rear. Three stores are housed in the second building at 5566-68-74 S.W. 8th Street, Haynsworth said. Also of CBS construction, it covers an area 100' x 70' and has flat gravel roof with asphalt tile floors. A vacant lot is available for parking. Third Parcel The third parcel, a 100x145 lot on S.W. 8th Street between Ferdinand and Lisbon, is zoned B-2 and is surrounded by business development. The property has been cleared and is highly suited for store or apartment construction. The Exchange is currently processing several million dollars worth of additional property submitted by brokers for the February and March sales. No property is approved for listing until it has been screened by an appraisal committee for fair market value, Haynsworth declared.
