Brennan Vincent Jude Brennan, 53, a resident of Dade County, is a Democratic candidate for the Senate in District 39. Brennan was employed by the Internal Revenue Service for twenty-three years before retiring in 1972. He is now practicing law in Miami. A graduate of Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, where he received his B.S. in Business Administration, he has also done graduate work at Salmon P. Chase College, Cincinnati, where he received his Juris Doctor Degree. Simonhoff Mike Simonhoff, 39, a Miaimi architect, is a Democrat running for State Senator, District 39. A native Miamian, Simonhoff is a 1960 graduate of Cornell University. He worked designing schools and clinics under the Alliance for Progress prior to opening his own architectural firm in 1963. Smirnoff authored and worked with the City of Miami and Dade County on its existing tree ordinance. Smirnoff and his wife Rachel have a daughter, Diana. Holloway Vernon C. Holloway, 58, an electrical contractor, is a Democratic candidate for re-election to the State Senate for District 39. First elected to the Senate in 1974, he is a former legislator in the Florida House of Representatives (1966-1974 term). He has served on the Dade County Mediation Board, the City of Miami Building Board of Rules and Appeals and was chairman of Metropolitan Dade County Electrical Examining Board from 1954 to 1966.
