Baxter Harvey Baxter, 46, a former North Miami Beach Municipal Judge, is a candidate for County Judge. Baxter is a member of numerous legal organizations, including Iota Theta Law Fraternity, the American, Florida, Dade County, North Dade and New York Bar Associations and the Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers. A 25-year member of Masons, he is a charter member of North Miami Beach Elks and financial secretary of Torah Executive Board. He and his wife, Elaine and their two sons live in North Miami Beach. Clar Henry Clar, 47, who has been in active trial practice in the state of Florida for 20 years, is a candidate for County Judge. Clar graduated from the University of Miami with a B.B.A., attended William and Mary Law School and graduated from the University of Miami Law School in 1956. A resident of Dade County for over 25 years, Clar is a past commander of the American Legion, Post 31. He is also a former Judge Advocate and former adjutant for the organization. The Army veteran makes his home with his wife, Naomi. Robinson Steven D. Robinson, 33, a Dade County attorney and native-born Miamian, is a candidate for County Judge. A graduate of Wharton School of Commerce and Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, he received his law degree from University of Miami. He continued his education in Talmudic law- at the Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore. An active worker for migrant farmworkers with the Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc., a federal agency, he has maintained a long-standing membership in the Dade County Agriculture Council.
